Culinary Philosophy

About Japanese Cuisine:

Esthetic of Japanese Art is Simplicity.

We value what is called “MA”, a Japanese word meaning “empty space”, or “time in between” in many forms of art, including Painting, Calligraphy, Flower Arrangement, Tea Ceremony, Interior Design and Architecture. It is very symbolic of cultural expectations in indirect verbal communication to “Read the Space (Energy)” which is why the Non-verbal communication weighs more than the physical and verbal communication.

This concept is well incorporated into Japanese Cooking as well, which is our ability to focus on the food, be 100% present with the art process, and consider a meal finished when all the dishes are cleaned and put away. Kitchen is back to its simple, clean state, and what has changed is that a family is fed, healthy and happy meal!

Simple, Quiet, Peaceful, Healthy, and yet Powerful, is The Art of Zen Cooking.

About Japanese Food Culture:

Japanese are known for the Longevity. Thee secret is, THE FOOD.

Kids in Japan are blessed with precise food education at early stage of development, as well as, high standard of meals prepared and fed, both at public and private schools and homes. Can you imagine, a school gives you a monthly menu for your children’s lunch in detail, so that you can cook breakfast and dinner at home accordingly?

This is all because the Japanese culture values Food and Health as priority when it comes to children’s health, as well as adults’. Unfortunately, it is not the case here in US.

In Japan, most popular TV channels are those of Food Specials, which is shown abundantly for you to choose from throughout the day. Idea of Food is beyond what our body needs in order to survive/ grow, but as an entertainment to ALL senses; sight, smell, taste, texture, and audio even at times!

And this is what I provide for you. Art of Food, that your all 5 senses can enjoy!

Most of the cause of physical Disease can be tracked back to its Energetic Roots, which are often times influenced by the quality of the food intake.
